When to select the UT8701

Choose this offset belt sander when conventional disc sanders or grinders cannot comfortably reach narrow edges, channels, corners and confined areas. Suitable for continuous metal surface preparation, weld blending, deburring, rust removal and finishing, using abrasives and techniques appropriate to the material. The offset configuration and built-in regulator allow controlled work in restricted locations. For broad flat surfaces or final cosmetic finishing, a compatible orbital finishing sander may be a better selection.

Abrasives and accessories

Ask Arclight for compatible 1/4-inch or 1/2-inch × 24-inch abrasive belts, replacement contact arms and other wear parts. We can source industrial abrasive and finishing options through Platinum North America, Bosch Professional and other suppliers where the exact belt size, backing and speed ratings are compatible; ordinary Bosch sanding discs are not substitutes for this machine's sanding belts. Select abrasive grit and material for the substrate and finishing task. Follow manufacturer lubrication instructions and appropriate dust-control and PPE requirements.
