When to choose this sander

The fine 3/32-inch orbit is intended for controlled finish sanding, paint preparation, blending and smoothing on wood, metal, automotive panels and suitably prepared coatings. Choose a more aggressive 3/16-inch orbit for heavier stock removal. This version is non-vacuum and does not provide integrated dust extraction; use appropriate workplace dust-control arrangements and PPE, especially for coatings, hazardous dusts and restoration work.

Recommended compatible abrasives and consumables

Use 5-inch PSA sanding discs matched to the pad and surface. Choose grit based on the finish stage—for example, coarser grits for initial leveling and finer grits for pre-finish work, following coating and substrate specifications. Arclight can source suitable professional abrasives from Platinum North America and Bosch Professional where their discs have the correct PSA attachment and size. Bosch hook-and-loop discs are not a direct fit for the standard PSA pad. Replacement backing pads and specialty finishing abrasives can be quoted after compatibility checks.
