Tooling, accessories and consumables
Universal Tool and specialist tooling: Precision 1/4 in.-or-smaller-shank metal drill bits, reamers, countersinks and appropriate cutting fluid. Other compatible industrial tooling may be sourced through M.A. Ford and Endurance Carbide; abrasives and associated consumables may be sourced through Platinum North America where appropriate.
Bosch Professional accessories and consumables: Bosch Professional metal-drilling bits and countersink consumables with shanks fitting the 1/4 in. chuck, provided bit ratings and application are suitable. Availability and compatibility must be verified for the exact accessory before quoting. Bosch X-LOCK and SDS attachments are not direct-fit drill accessories for these pneumatic tools.
Appropriate air-line filtration, regulation and lubrication should follow the tool manufacturer's instructions.
Compare all four Universal Tool drills
| Model | Configuration | Motor | Free speed | Interface | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| UT8891-33 | Aircraft angle drill | 0.45 HP | 3,300 RPM | 1/4 in.-28 threaded attachment interface | Low-profile and restricted-access aircraft drilling |
| UT8892-33 | Aircraft pistol drill | 0.45 HP | 3,300 RPM | 1/4 in. chuck | Precision aircraft and sheet-metal drilling with straight access |
| UT2815R | Reversible general-purpose pistol drill | 0.75 HP | 1,800 RPM | 3/8 in. chuck | General shop drilling, maintenance and intermittent MRO tasks |
| UT8895 | Continuous-duty pistol drill | 0.9 HP | 2,600 RPM | 3/8 in. chuck | Repetitive industrial production and fabrication drilling |
Selection tip: The UT8891-33 angle drill uses a threaded attachment system, unlike the three chuck-equipped drills. The UT8892-33 suits precision straight-access aircraft work; the reversible UT2815R suits general MRO work; and the UT8895 is intended for high-volume drilling.
