BoltRail is a patented, reusable tool for quickly and accurately positioning cast-in anchor bolts over form work. It replaces the job-built wooden template — no more cutting, drilling and discarding a one-use jig on every pour.

Engineered, designed and manufactured in Canada. Built in Nisku, Alberta by BoltRail Ltd. Stocked in Ontario by Arclight Supply + Rental Network for delivery across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.

Proven on site

Chinook Feeders, Vulcan, Alberta — 48 piles across two circular structures, 192 anchor bolts installed in under 5 hours over two days. Bolts stayed straight, access for placing and finishing concrete stayed clear, and the rails came off clean for reuse.

Warrior Concrete, Calgary — the crew picked up the install method quickly, surveyors on site confirmed bolt placement, and adjustments were easy to make on the fly.

Exterior and interior form mounting

Exterior mount — mark the anchor bolt centreline, centre the BoltRail using the sighting windows and fasten to the form, then locate the bolt holders off the positioning notches and set the second rail on-centre relative to the first.

Interior mount — measure the form opening, mark the length on each BoltRail, position the sliding support to the inside mark, fasten and cut to length, then follow the exterior method for the bolt holders.

Anchor bolt spacing

Spacing is calculated as S = 0.707 × D, where D is the bolt circle diameter. For increased precision, BoltRail can be fastened to the formwork through the timber rails. For best results, drop concrete into the form from above the BoltRails and into the centre of the form.
